David has been teaching on and off for the last decade and prefers to work with beginning and intermediate students. Instruction is tailored to the needs and desires of the individual but focuses on building a strong foundation of basic rhythmic theory and praxis including: Proper Technique, Rudimental Training, Reading and Interpretation, Listening, Improvisation, Drum Set Coordination, and a broader awareness of Music History, Philosophies, and Styles. Styles typically covered include: Blues, Country, Funk, Jazz, Latin, Reggae, and Rock. Typical rates are listed below.
